The first Sunday of the new year, and a fresh – or not so fresh – start. It feels like only this week we were peeling ourselves off the floor of the Home The Venue Terrace. But there are few better ways to kick back into gear than to - get back on the horse - if you will, and we will.
We’d like to take a moment to remind you that we are offering free entry to S.A.S.H By Day at Watson’s, The Entertainment Quarter, for those who arrive before 4pm. You can claim your free ticket via the event page on our website – sash.net.au/events
Taking control of the first Sunday soiree we’ve enlisted the help of one of the rising stars in the scene. For now their identity remains a mystery, keep your eyes and ears peeled for more clues on who it could be. The first Sunday of the year deserves an extra dose of power, so that’s why we’ve brought in our beloved Max Power to throw down on the Watson’s Terrace and make sure we’re all properly warmed. Súave by name, Súave by nature, Kwame returns to the booth to take us through the early afternoon. A mix of deep and driven cuts with a stripped back class are on the menu. Rounding out the day, Ronan makes his SASH By Day-but, delivering the early afternoon house to get those early juices flowing.
Across to Carousel as the night gets dark, a dear friend returns to Australian shores. German born, but Australian at heart, Stipé first started DJ’ing many moons ago when he lived here in Sydney many many moons ago. Despite his youthful looks, he’s been sharing the booth with dons of the scene like Riccardo Villalobos and DJ T since way back in the early 00’s. Stipé brings a rolling, minimalistic-type groove with bouncing bass lines and penetrating percussion – expect a lot of heat in the high-up halls of Carousel. A man with a plan, one who knows how to Thinc, Harrison Saul is ready to maul. He’ll be flicking the amps on and cranking the AC, he might even spin a tune or two. Closing out the night, Hamoii links heads, shoulders, knees and toes with Kemba to close out the night.
